Monday is Festive Footwear and Flannel Frenzy Day. Tuesday evening is Chick-fil-A Spirit night at the Beckley Galleria location from 5:00-7:30.
MHES: Thursday, November 10 is makeup picture day for student who were absent previously. Students are invited to wear camo, red, blue or white in remembrance of Veterans Day. Also we will be selling ice cream tomorrow.
MHES: PTO meeting on November 2 at 5:30 in the cafeteria. No Prek on November 4. Report cards go home on November 4 for 1st-5th grades.
Reminder that tomorrow students may wear costumes to school for our fall party. We will also be selling ice cream for $1.

Free afterschool tutoring
Raleigh County Schools is happy to announce opportunities for students across the county to receive free afterschool tutoring. These services are made possible through Extended Program grants and provided by your child’s home school certified teachers.
Tutoring services may include…
· In person one-on-one or small group - core content academic sessions
· In person one-on-one or small group - critical school success tutoring sessions for items such as (organization skills, technology skills, study skills, test taking tips, etc.)
· In person one-on-one or small group - enrichment support (high stakes test prep SAT, ACT, etc., academic fairs, college/job readiness preparation, etc.)
Please contact your child’s school for details on scheduling tutoring services.
Not all schools offer after school services or services in all areas.

We are having elementary sports this school year! Tryouts for students in 3rd-5th grades will be August 25 and 26. Students must have a physical before they will be permitted to try out.
